User Spotlight: Distilled.net Uses Social Seating for Event Networking
The Social Tables platform is a great tool for your standard events such as galas, fundraisers, weddings, expos, and meetings, but why stop there? Our friends over at Distilled.net took a creative approach when planning their upcoming SeachLove events and thought outside the box when using our software.
For the upcoming conferences, they are using the sharing feature to let guests visualize the event beforehand and pre-select their seat in order to kick start event networking.
Lauren Brady, Distilled’s Events Coordinator, saw the value of taking online relationships and turning them into offline relationships,
“We’re always trying to think of new ways to improve the networking opportunities for our delegates and Social Tables seemed like a perfect solution. A lot of the time in the search industry, people will chat to each other over Twitter and various other social platforms having never actually met in person. Social Tables enables them to make that face-to-face connection by pre-selecting who they want to meet up with during the break times without the awkwardness of having to approach someone directly.”
Get a glimpse of the event!
Social seating is a great way to ensure attendees are prepared before the event, comfortable while at the event, and make connections that last when the event is over. Don’t leave your guests out to dry, give them tools to make sure they get the most out of your event!
How else should people use social seating at events?
